EPTechnologies and RIB Unlimited have unveiled the new all-electric RIB Unlimited 8H. The boat is powered by the EPTechnologies Falcon 130kW outboard and an advanced 90kWh battery pack.
The RIB unlimited 8H features a vacuum-infused racing hull. Thanks to advanced lamination techniques, the design is ultralight, making it suitable for electrification.
The target cruising speed is 25kts, and recycled plastics have been used to reduce the vessel’s environmental footprint.
The Falcon 130kW outboard was developed exclusively for electric propulsion, and features a 360° rotating lower unit. It has a compact, lightweight design which, according to EPTechnologies, minimizes drag, improves efficiency and optimizes onboard space.

The electric speedboat was unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which runs from September 9-14.
